🔥 We're almost there! As of Monday, October 19, 2026, there are only 30 full days left before GTA 6 launches on Thursday, November 19, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Thirteen years after GTA V (released September 17, 2013), the countdown has hit the home stretch. And the hype has never been this big.
On social media, fan accounts are now counting down day by day. Rockstar, for its part, has brought out the big guns: a trailer, a song, and giant murals right in the street.
🎬 An October for the history books
On a single day, October 15, three big pieces of news dropped:
- 🎥 Rockstar released the GTA 6 Launch Trailer, already nicknamed “Trailer 3” by fans;
- 🎵 Justice released “Flower in a Hurricane,” the song from that trailer, with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard;
- 🛑 Cyberleek announced the end of its leaks: no full game leak before launch.
That comes on top of an already busy summer: the Extended Look on August 27, the soundtrack vinyl selling out in a few hours and the arrival of the GTA 6 controllers.
🎨 GTA 6 takes over the streets
The marketing has left the screen. In Brooklyn, in New York's Williamsburg neighborhood, a giant mural of Jason and Lucia is being hand-painted.
The company behind it, Colossal Media, confirmed it on Instagram. Fun fact: its very first campaign, 22 years ago, was also for Rockstar, with GTA San Andreas.
In Los Angeles, fans spotted another GTA 6 mural on Hollywood Boulevard, finished in mid-October.
🌴 Miami turns into Vice City
In Miami, the real city behind Vice City, the operation is even bigger. Rockstar signed a deal with the city of Miami Beach, and a partnership with the Miami Heat: a Vice City logo is planned for the team's arena, the Kaseya Center.
Not everyone is happy about it. Several local officials have criticized the campaign. One of them, René Garcia, complained that “we're depicting Miami like a murder capital.” Another official replied: “This is a fictional game. We are all adults in this community.”
