Privacy Policy

This is a courtesy translation. The French version is the legally binding one; in case of any discrepancy, the French text prevails.

In plain terms: GTA6Codes.fr sells no data and does not track you. This is a simple fan site, with no accounts and no tracking: it only records what you choose to give it (a content suggestion, a chat message, or turning on notifications — see § 9). The site uses your browser's local storage for your preferences (language, chat nickname, your answer to the notifications question, hiding the “ad blocker” message). Only the NitroPay ad network, as a third-party service, may set its own advertising cookies — independently of us.

2. What GTA6Codes.fr does not collect

GTA6Codes.fr collects no personal data unless you take action. Specifically:

No registration or contact form
No user accounts
No Google Analytics: visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) and the “online” counter are anonymous, with no cookies or identifiers
No tracking pixels
Nothing about you stored on our servers, except what you choose to send (§ 9)

3. Data stored locally in your browser

The site uses your browser's local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) for a few functional purposes, with no transmission to our servers:

g6_abk_pause / g6_abk_ferme: closing the “ad blocker” message (24 hours, or for the current tab)
gta6lang: your display language preference
gta6notif: your answer to the notifications question (yes or no, and its date), so we don't ask you again
gta6enligne (deleted when the tab closes): the time of the “online” counter's last signal, so the same visit isn't counted twice
gta6pseudo: the nickname you choose for the home page chat and the secret key that reserves it for you, so we don't ask you again

This data stays exclusively in your browser. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

4. What NitroPay does on its side

The site integrates NitroPay to display advertising. NitroPay is an independent data controller: it is NitroPay that collects data, not us. That data may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited and advertising identifiers, used to serve and measure ads.

5. Server logs

Like any website, our host (Cloudflare Pages) automatically keeps technical access logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed) for a maximum of 12 months, for security purposes. This data is not directly accessible to us and is not used for commercial purposes.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you believe data concerning you has been collected, you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability. Contact us on Discord or lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.

7. Transfers outside the EU

Data processed by NitroPay may be transferred outside the EU, governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

If you turn on notifications, they go through your browser's push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft), whose servers may be outside the EU; their content is encrypted.

8. Managing your consent & opt-out (GDPR / CCPA)

You can change or withdraw your consent to personalised advertising at any time:

EU visitors (GDPR): click the "Manage my privacy preferences" button at the bottom of any page to reopen the NitroPay consent window.
California residents (CCPA): you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of the page, or object directly through the NitroPay privacy policy.

These choices are handled by NitroPay's consent management platform (CMP) and apply to the cookies and advertising identifiers set by the ad network.

9. What you choose to send us

Browser notifications — only if you click “Yes” and then allow them in your browser:

What is stored: the delivery address created by your browser (a link at Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft), its two encryption keys, the page language and the date. No name, no email, no IP address.
Why: to let you know about new codes, articles and entries on the site. Never advertising.
Where: with our host, Cloudflare.
How long: until you turn them off. An address your browser reports as expired is deleted at the first failed delivery.
To stop: the bell at the top of every page (“Turn them off”), or your browser's notification settings.

Content suggestions (“Suggest…” buttons): the name, description, optional nickname and optional photo you send, along with your country and the page you write from, are kept for 120 days at most, while they are reviewed. If the suggestion is accepted, your nickname may be credited on the site. Your IP address is only used to limit abusive submissions and is deleted after 26 hours at most. Before sending, Cloudflare's anti-bot check (Turnstile) may examine your IP address and browser, only to block bots.

Home page chat — only if you write in it: the nickname you choose, your message and its time are stored with our host, Cloudflare, and shown publicly on the home page. They stay for as long as the chat exists: it is its history, visible to everyone. Your nickname is reserved for you: we only store a fingerprint of the secret key kept in your browser; without it, nobody else can post under that nickname. No account, no cookie, no IP address stored: your IP address is only used, in the moment, to slow down message bursts. Don't post any personal information (links, emails and phone numbers are refused automatically). A message reported by two people is hidden (each report keeps the fingerprint of its author's key, so each person counts only once); to have one of your messages deleted, write to us on Discord with the nickname, date and time.
