One year after the second trailer, the GTA community is watching for the slightest signal from Rockstar Games. And the clues are piling up.
Rockstar Games still silent… but for how long?
Officially, Grand Theft Auto VI is still set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version to follow. No Trailer 3 announcement has been posted on the Rockstar Newswire or the studio's social channels.
On the publisher side, Strauss Zelnick (CEO of Take-Two Interactive) once again told investors he is fully confident in the release date, adding that the real marketing campaign would start in summer 2026. A schedule that leaves little time before a new major trailer.
Why is everyone talking about an imminent release?
One of the most discussed theories rests on a licence plate in GTA Online highlighted by Rockstar, reading "May" alongside digits read as a 15 — that is, May 15, 2026. Many see it as a hint at an upcoming announcement, even though this plate design has existed since GTA 5 and nothing is confirmed.
Insider Detective Seeds, known for several reliable predictions, goes further: according to him, Rockstar will reveal Trailer 3 first as a YouTube exclusive, then at a PlayStation event alongside a GTA 6 PS5 bundle. He also says fears of a delay can be "set aside", with bundle listings expected to appear at retailers soon.
That scenario would fit the marketing deal between Sony and Take-Two Interactive, even though the game also releases on Xbox. Other insiders, such as Tom Henderson, expect a mid-summer release instead.
What to expect from Trailer 3?
The community's expectations are clear: a trailer focused on gameplay, with real playable sequences — driving, shootouts, heists across the State of Leonida and Vice City — and more scenes featuring the duo Jason and Lucia.
This third trailer could also mark the opening of pre-orders and reveal the different editions (standard, collector, premium), with some versions likely to exceed $100.
In the meantime, one thing is certain: no official date has been given for GTA 6 Trailer 3.
